Where did the weekend go? I had a great time going to the Michigan game on Saturday with Eric and his parents. Sunday was suppose to be a productive day but I ended up lounging around for most of it, which was just fine with me.
Ashley and I woke up and completed our first, ‘High Impact Interval Training’ workout. It was only fifteen minutes long with ten minutes of stretching so I anticipated it would be easy. I knew I could handle fifteen minutes. It was an awesomely challenging fifteen minutes. Easy would not be how I would describe it.
The workout consisted of twelve, one-minute fire drills where we would basically follow the routine and go as hard as we could. At the end of each minute, we had about thirty seconds to cool down before we did it again. My heart was racing and the fifteen minutes flew by! I am still sore from it!
After Turbo, Ashley and I ran some errands and then came home and re-created the same green smoothie as before.(check the recipe page). That’s all I had for lunch because Eric and I were meeting his parents before the Michigan game for an early dinner. I didn’t take pictures of my food because we went to ‘Kotobuki’ and I basically had the same thing as Friday night!
The game was a lot of fun. I have never been to Crisler Arena so at half time, Eric showed me around and we looked at the memorabilia. I decided to get a hot chocolate before the second half because I wanted something sweet and was still freezing!
Since it ended up being a pretty lazy day, I didn’t accomplish the majority of what I had intended to. However, I did make a pretty fantastic smoothie for breakfast. I was craving something sweet so first, I sauteed the bananas to bring out the natural sugars. Then, into the blender went – ice, almond milk, cashews, frozen strawberries, honey, cooked bananas, chia seeds and to make sure it kept me full for hours…raw oats! It was heavenly!
After that, I went and hung out with my friend, Alissa, at her place. We ran a few errands and then watched, ‘The Ugly Truth’, put in a frozen pizza and enjoyed a beer.
If you don’t allow yourself a splurge once in a while, your diet will likely fail. You have to remember to eat in moderation and you can still enjoy all of the foods you love! I hope you all have a great Monday. I’ll be back later with today’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Please be patient with me. As soon as I upload my camera program onto my laptop, I will be able to post more frequently!!
