In a rut?
Feeling like you need to kick it into high gear for that Summer body?
Do what I did…
Putting on a bikini after 6 months of not wearing one is a scary site. On top of that extra winter layer I’ve added, I’m also basically see through at this point due to my lack of Summer glow.
This is good and bad news.
The bad news is that I have a lot of work to do. The good news is that it was the perfect motivation to make me get moving and really start putting the work in.
So far this week here’s the workouts I’ve done:
Monday – Turbo
Tuesday – Upper Body + HIIT 20 in the morning and TurboFire 45 in the evening
Wednesday – Turbo
Thursday – Legs + some abs/light cardio
Tomorrow, I’m off work at noon, so I’m going to get some homework done and then make my way to the gym for the same cardio mash as last week; 20 minutes on elliptical, 15 minutes on stairclimber and 10 minutes on row machine!
I’ve also been watching what I eat and including a lot of Shakeology and salads. I looked back at my ‘Get Fit in 30‘ post and am planning to take some of my own advice moving forward. Plus, with starting the 21 Day Fix again, that’ll be a helpful post. I forgot I used to get plain, iced, black coffee. I ordered it this week and fell in love all over again!
Now that it’s finally getting nice outside, it’s easier to get in the mindset of really working out hard, eating better and watching portions.
It was a fun winter taking a little time to care less, but mostly, I hated how I felt and am ready to get game on! I’m actually already feeling better after two weeks of consistent workouts.
I’m currently working on my WEEK 1 ‘1200-1500 calorie Vegetarian Meal Plan’ for the 21 Day Fix. I’ll have that posted next week – I’m starting on Monday.
Until then, enjoy the sunshine if it’s finally showing it’s face in your area, get in some good workouts, eat clean and enjoy a glass of wine or two this weekend!
