About two weeks ago, Ashley, and I ordered TurboFire. It has received great reviews and we wanted to try it out for ourselves. I haven’t been reaching my full potential at the gym and am honestly just kind of bored when I am there. So, I am hoping the TurboFire workouts spice things up and keep me motivated well into the summer months!
If you aren’t familiar with how the plan works, it’s basically twelve classes on ten DVDs that are alternated for 20 weeks. The classes include high-intensity kickboxing, high impact interval training and stretching.
Before starting the DVD last night, Ashley, and I took our before pictures as well as our measurements.

We started with the ‘New to Class’ option on the DVD so that we had a chance to learn the moves. Charlene Johnson, the instructor, is a big ball of energy and is jumping around and dancing during the entire workout, which keeps things light and fun!
At first, I didn’t think I was going to catch onto the moves. There was a lot of punching, kicking, and hip thrusting going on and I knew there was no way I looked as good as her, but I kept chugging along. It had to be a hilarious site watching us bounce around punching in every direction since we couldn’t get a hang of the punch-jab-upper cut, but hey, it was only day one! I am looking forward to see what tonight’s class will bring. Stay tuned!
