Each day that passes is one day closer to goal and one day closer to Summer! This winter weather is depressing and I’m so over putting on a coat and scarf everyday.
The good news is that I’m about 3 weeks into changing my nutrition and exercising behavior and things are going pretty good. While I am not perfect, both are very much improved.
A couple weeks ago when things started I had a plan to map out goals slowly each week after getting one under my belt. Today will be day 10 at Renegade, woohoo and I have cut back on alcohol – as planned. It is still present, but not as frequent. Previously, we would do ‘Girl’s Night’ every Thursday, which would include drinks and usually pizza and lately we have just opted out of doing girl’s night all together so that we can stick to our healthy habits. It’s nice having a group of friends with the same goals to make the process easier.
I have one friend who I rely on frequently for answers and I mentioned her before – my girl, Kayla! She is so helpful and knowledgeable with both the nutrition and fitness side, so I pick her brain a lot. My meals lately are a lot of the same things – protein shakes in the morning – loaded with spinach!!
Lunch is usually a mix of brown rice, chicken, jalapenos, tomato, cilantro and salsa. Then for dinner I am doing chicken and a vegetable rotation. No need to make it complicated!
Monday – Bonus cardio at lunch + Renegade
Tuesday – Upper body lift
Wednesday – Lower body lift
Thursday – Bonus cardio + Renegade
Friday – HIIT + Abs
Saturday – Renegade
Sunday – REST!
I can’t wait to keep the momentum moving forward. It’s hard being patient and waiting to see results, but I know it’s all about consistency.
