Today, I have something much lighter on deck – a new smoothie recipe – woohoo! I was sent a bag of Matcha Green Tea Powder to review and my first thought was, of course, to put it in a smoothie.
The smoothie I made myself for breakfast today was fantastic – it kind of reminded me of an Iced Green Tea Latte from Starbucks – but much healthier!
- All day energy with increased focus – Matcha provides 4 to 6 hours of steady energy, as it acts as both, a stimulant and relaxant
- Metabolism Boost
- 137 times the antioxidants of brewed green tea
- Improved Skin Health – Matcha has been proven to protect the skin from harmful UVrays while improving blood flow and oxygen levels
- a scoop of ice
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology (or your fave vanilla protein powder)
- 1 tsp. Matcha
Throw it all into a blender and viola’ – perfection!
