This week is kind of unusual, workout wise, because I’m heading to Cleveland Thursday afternoon. While I still plan to get my workouts in while I’m there – it won’t be my normal routine of Renegade and/or Turbo.
Dan and I have tickets to see Christina Perri Thursday night and then we both took the day off from work on Friday, so I’m looking forward to an extended weekend with him. We’re also going to Green Day’s American Idiot The Musical on Saturday, so it’ll be packed and exciting weekend!
Thankfully, Dan’s apartment complex has a fitness room, so I plan on doing lower body in there one day and I’m also going to take my 21 Day Fix DVDs to rock out some cardio/plyo/abs.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
Weekly Workout Schedule
Monday – Renegade
Tuesday – FIX Upper
Wednesday – Turbo class
Thursday – Skip
Friday – Lower Body
Saturday – Cardio Fix + Abs
Sunday – FIX Plyometrics
Totally doable and hopefully Dan will join me in the fitness room for a lift or for some 21 Day Fix Cardio – at least he’d get to look at Autumn – she’s so adorable! 😉 Haha!
Food. Our downfall. I’ve already made a list of foods I want to pack since I know I’ll have some leftover produce from the week. I’m going to have Dan pick up some chicken and eggs and then we will grocery shop sometime on Friday, too. I plan to stick to the 21 Day Fix meals and follow the plan, there just may be a few more drinks than Autumn would recommend, but if I’m keeping my food up to par, I’ll be a happy camper.
Here are some meals I’ve considered making:
Chicken Burgers over Spinach with Homemade Dijon Dressing
Eggs with Spinach, Hot Sauce and Sweet Potato Hash
I’ll definitely be having Shakeology everyday. The only downside is that Dan doesn’t have a blender. You can absolutely just hand shake them in a cup, but I’m a shake snob and like them blended with ice. I’ll have to make due with hand shaken, because the VitaMix isn’t going to make the trip!
I’ve been loving overnight oats lately and am having them with my eggs in the morning. It’s amazing how long I feel full when combining these two.
Are you a fan of cold oats?? If you haven’t tried them, you definitely need to get hip!
It’s all about planning and prepping. Hopefully we stick to the plan. Luckily, I like to cook, so it’s no big deal to stay in, save money and make healthier meals.
Check back tomorrow for my Fabletics outfit review!
Warm or cold oats? Have you ever had overnight oats? What’s your favorite add-in?
