Hello! How are you?
I caught a cold over the weekend – ugh – I totally feel like crap, but I’m trucking through the day and knocking out a ton of stuff on my to do list! My weekend was a combination of productive and fun – those are always the best – I always feel better when I can accomplish some stuff around the house.
I left work and for whatever reason was in a crabby mood. All I wanted to do was throw on sweatpants and lay on the couch. First, I knew I had to run some errands, so I knocked those out and then followed my plans of sweats, tv, and the couch. I was asleep by 9:00!
Rise and shine! I was up at 6:45 – got to love the body clock and not having a hangover! 😉 I made coffee and breakfast and then got to work cutting out cucumber flowers for Dan’s sister, Jenny’s, baby shower.
Greek yogurt, agave, pb, banana, cinnamon and coffee: I accomplished a lot from 7-9:00 and then it was time to head to Renegade for my workout. There’s no better way to start the day then with a workout…well after coffee, of course! I was glad that my friend, Susie was there, as well!
I left my heart rate monitor on while I ran into Old Navy real quick, so I shredded almost 600 calories after 30 minutes of the after burn – I’ll take it! I rushed home to shower and then over to Mandy’s house where I was meeting her to head to the shower together.
The baby shower was so cute and you can tell we’re all Pinterest fans! Mandy made the diaper cake, which turned out awesome and her mom made the most adorable chick deviled eggs and baby in a bassinet fruit bowl!
Check out my flower cucumbers – don’t you love them? We also had pink punch with champagne. I ordered the flutes on Amazon and then just tied pink ribbon on them for a little extra detail. Everything was perfect! Don’t you love it?!
Once we left there, I headed home to relax for a bit – I even enjoyed a short catnap! Around 8:00, I met up with some friends for a couple drinks, but called it a night early, again. It’s always good catching up with the girls, though!
I tried my best to sleep in and managed to make it to 8:45. Once up, it was time for some breakfast – just a couple eggs with salsa and some apple. I had plans to meet up with Angie and we decided it’d be fun to walk and talk. So, I bundled up and headed over to her house. I don’t know what we were thinking because it was only 20 degrees out – we covered about 3 miles and I was an icicle afterward. It was good to talk with her about Beachbody and figure out where I want to take my business. I’m excited for things to start unfolding with that.
Once I got home, I made a shake – I’d yet to try the Strawberry Shakeology, so she sent me home with a packet. I didn’t realize it was different than the Vegan Tropical and man, it’s so creamy and delicious. I loved it! I took my shake and headed to the grocery store to get some produce for the week. We have a market in my neighborhood with such good prices. I got everything you see here for $19.

- 2 broccoli crowns
- 5 lemons
- romaine heasrt
- 2 seedless cucs
- 5# spaghetti squash
- 2 dozen brown large eggs
Pretty good, right?! The rest of the day was spent hanging with my grandma and relaxing at home. I was feeling super crummy in the evening, so I popped in a movie and crawled in bed at 7pm!
I’m going to do my best to fight this thing asap – I don’t have time or patience to be sick.

Meals for the Week:
Breakfast: eggs with spinach or egg pancake
Lunch: Salads with chicken or protein shake
Dinner: tilapia with broccoli and sweet potato/buffalo chicken spaghetti squash/sante fe salad
