Finding Your Happy {Ultimate Reset Results}

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

Hope you’re having a great week – mine is flying by, as usual! I’ve been working out every night and I’m beyond excited to be back at it. Tonight I’m going to head to the gym after work for Turbo Kick and then I’m going to stay for Body Works, which I’m pretty sure is a weight class.

So now that the 21 days of cleansing are completely over, I wanted to share the good, the bad, and the ugly with you. You can also check out Week 1 and  Week 2 to see how I did during those phases.

Ultimate Reset Recap – 21 Day Cleanse

How I feel mentally: So happy that I completed this and wow, what an eye opener. The biggest challenge now is sticking with it. I was very nervous to head into day 22 at the risk of undoing all the hard work I just put in over the last 3 weeks. Now that I have a head start on eating clean, I’m not scared at all and totally think this is something I’ll stick with the majority of the time.

Sleepy: Not sleepy in the mornings at all and not planning to bring coffee back into my life on a daily basis. At first, I had to have something warm to drink – I think it’s just a comfort thing. Since I was allowed Herbal Decaf Tea, I found this variety pack and I’m pretty sure it saved my life!

blog81Honestly, after not having it, I don’t even crave it. However, if I crave a latte once in a while, I will allow myself that splurge.

Hungry: Not at all! I can totally tell that my belly has shrunk. I’ve been eating at meal times, but not much snacking in between, it’s great! I’ve learned that I can have a small snack if I want it but I don’t necessarily need it. I’ve been listening to my body and asking myself, am I hungry or am I bored before I decide.

Mood: I’m happy! I realize that eating good is a direct correlation to how I’m feeling. Eat crap, feel like crap. Eat good, feel great!

What I missed the most: Still Turbo and Shakeology but I also missed having the option to pick my meals or have a glass of wine if I wanted. At times I felt restricted. Now that I do have the option, it seems less appealing – isn’t it funny how that works?

How I feel physically: GREAT! My clothes just fit better, which is one of the perks. I also have more energy, have been in a better mood and feel more confident. I lost six pounds total, but that part hasn’t even affected me, which is why I was about to publish this and had to remember to include my weight loss…it’s everything else that made more of an impact!

blog83Daily Supplements: When I first made the schedule of supplements, I was really nervous, it felt like a lot of work, but just like anything else, it became routine.

Plans now that it’s over: I’m going to order the ‘Maintenance Kit’ of supplements this weekend so that I can keep taking them – they made such a difference! I’m absolutely going to keep eating clean as often as possible. Today I had Shakeology for breakfast and salad with half of a sweet potato for lunch. I’m obsessed with the Creamy Garlic Dressing from the Reset Recipe book and it’ll be a weekly staple.

My workouts will be amped up for sure. I mean, hello…summer is right around the corner! Mondays and Wednesdays are both going to be double class nights – Turbo and then weights. I’m not set on Tuesdays and Thursdays, yet. I anticipate they’ll always be different, but I’d like to set up a rotation of things. I did ChaLean Extreme in the gym at work last night with Gwen, who I work with and that might be a weekly thing, too! SO many options!

I will say this, as I talk to people, I realize that everybody has so many things going on in their lives, which makes it difficult to always fit in a workout or prep a healthy meal. Right now, being in a place where I’m on my own schedule and can basically workout anytime, for as long as I want, makes me feel so fortunate. With that being said, if it’s important to you and you want to make your health a priority, you WILL find the time and motivation to make these changes. If you can’t get to the gym sometime during the day, you need to figure out which DVD fitness program is right for you, so that you can do it in your home. And if you don’t have time to make a healthy lunch, you need to look into Shakeology, because it will change your life. And if you need a lesson on how to eat clean and want to see some amazing things happen to your body, then my friends, look into the Ultimate Reset. I’m not telling you this to make a sale or because I use these products. I’m telling you because I use them and I BELIEVE in them. I can tell you first hand that they work and that I love them. Your health is my priority and I want to help you transform into the confident, happy, fun, HEALTHY person that I know you can be!

I’m finally finding my happy and it wasn’t one specific thing, it’s many things, but I will tell you that the products of Beachbody and people I’ve met through the Beachbody community played a HUGE role in getting me here. You can choose to make excuses and be the victim, or you can choose your own change and make your own happiness, because guess what? You’re the one in charge of your life and we only get one, so may as well make it the best. Don’t you think?

I’ve said before, 2013 is going to be a BIG year. I can feel it. Things are just getting good…stay tuned!
