I have a confession…
I haven’t worn jeans in months. I brought them out of the closet today and well, they’re a little snug. What??
I will admit, over the last month or two, I’ve been working out less and eating more. When I get home from UM, all I want to do is make dinner and relax. Working two jobs has taken a toll on me, but so many people do it and even people with kids, so I’m not going to make any excuses for myself… I’m just going to change things – stat!
On Monday, I have a brand new Beachbody Challenge starting and I am going to put just as much effort into myself as I am into my participants. It’s time that I start to take my own advice. I know by now, that it should just come easy to me and be a part of my daily lifestyle, but like most people, I too struggle.
Remember a few months ago when I started ChaLean Extreme? Well, clearly, I didn’t follow through with it. While I love the program, I missed Turbo Fire. I know if I would have followed through, I’d see great results, but I just need more variety, which is why I’m creating a TurboFire/ChaLean Extreme Hybrid. This way I will be getting the best of both worlds and I won’t get bored.
I’m only going to map out two weeks at a time. If I do a month, I won’t stick to it because my schedule with work and other activities is so crazy. So, here is what I’ve come up with for September 17-28. The weekend are always TBD, so I left those out.
I remember back when I was completing the Turbo Fire schedule for the first time and Ashley and I would do it, everyday, no excuses. Granted, at that time, I was also home from work at 4:30 as opposed to now, 6:30, I still just need to stick to it – nonnegotiable.
Now, as far as food goes – I am definitely one of those people that will eat more on days that I workout super hard because I’m like, I worked my ass off, so I can eat a little more – but then, the deficit is no longer there and rather than being under my calorie goal, it just balances out, not resulting in a loss.
I am going to create weekly meal plans again each week. This is very helpful to me and a such a good way to stay on track. Plus, what’s great about this is that I can share it with my challenge group, too. Obviously, they aren’t vegetarians, but they can at least use it as a guide. So, starting Monday, I’ll share my week of meals with you.
I went back and forth about sharing the fact that I’m feeling less than stellar about my body and that I’ve gained a few pounds, five to be exact, but then I figured, I share everything else and this is probably more relatable for most people than me saying, I’ve reached my goal weight and am feeling absolutely amazing about how I look…right??
My new motto lately has been:
‘If you want something to change, you have to change something’.
Makes sense right? Obviously, what I’m doing isn’t working, so it’s time to set some new goals and create a new plan.
Losing weight has always been an issue for me and it’s never, ever come easy. I look and feel best when I’m working my ass off. When I start to get lazy or decide to eat carb heavy all week and skip two workouts, it shows. I will never tell you my journey has been easy or I anticipate it will get easier. Everyday, I make a conscious effort to make healthful decisions for my body and what I’m putting into it. Everyday, I have to tell myself, you have to workout – even though sometimes that little voice wins that says, ehh, just relax. I’m putting that little voice on mute and going after the goal I set for myself months ago. Just because I put the bikini away doesn’t mean I get to be lazy – it’s go time!
Ok, enough blabbing – onto my week so far.
I’ve had some yummy food! Ashley and I made paninis with pesto, goat cheese, banana peppers, onin, tomato, and spinach, which were delish – salad on the side!
Last night, I did Insanity – Core and Balance. Ugh! We just don’t get along, haha! It’s so tough.
Earlier in the day, I had Tropical Shakeology and an orange for a snack.
Tonight is Fit Club!! We are doing Brazilian Butt Lift, which should be fun! I plan on just having a shake for dinner – I’m loving the Chocolate Vegan. Tomorrow I’m going to share that recipe for the pasta I made with tortellini, spinach, roasted tomatoes and shrimp – mm! That meal probably attributes to these tight jeans, haha!!
Hope you have a good day! Thanks for letting me ramble.
