Hi F2BF readers!
I’m T (Teresa) from over at Fitness2aT and I was so happy to do this blog exchange with your lovely host Lauren. Hopefully I have something worth while to say to you today!
What I want to talk about is
Feel Good = Look Good = Feel Good
Confused yet? Basically it comes down to this;
Why do we strive for a healthier lifestyle? Why do we exercise and do our best to eat right? Well, we all have different reasons. We want to live longer, healthier lives. We want to be there for our children and our grandchildren. We want to be strong and give ourselves the chance of living disease free as we can! And frankly we want to look good. At least I do. I’m self admittedly vain. Should that be our number one reason, no. But is a definite motivator? We sure know it is! When all of a sudden you can fit in those jeans again. When a friend compliments how great you’re looking. When you catch that glance from a passerby. No you didn’t just imagine it! You’ve been working hard and you deserve it! Relish it! And USE IT!
You got yourself to this point, now it’s time to use that as motivation. When I first started my fit journey, I did it with the Beachbody program, Insanity. When I got near the end of the program, I couldn’t believe how good I felt about myself. I still wasn’t the thinnest I’d ever been in my life, but I had lost weight and I felt strong! And I said right then and there, “I am never going back to the way I was before.” And that has become my passion, not only for myself, but countless other women to say, “I am never going back to the way I was before.” And not just in physical fitness. You know, when we feel good, and look good, it effects the confidence so greatly. And once your confidence is boosted, you start to realize that you can do anything! You really can.
Little steps, everyday, constantly moving in the right direction will get you to your destination. Don’t try for perfect on your first day. If you are just starting out, little changes are the way to go. Believe it or not, you will eventually be craving healthier things and tougher workouts! I know, sounds crazy right?! It’s true! Yes, you’re going to fall off the healthy wagon once in a while, we all do! But don’t be discouraged, just pick yourself, and get right back on. So you gained a few pounds back. Oh well! Move on. A set back is only that, a set back on your journey, it is no reason to quit or give up and be worse off then when you started.
So I want you to give yourself a good long look in the mirror and it’s time for a little self talk. Stop looking at what you don’t like, and start looking at what you do! You are beautiful! Inside and out…
The fact is, you have a terrific role model already in Lauren, she’s showing you how to live a balanced, fun, fit life, and doing it all while looking fabulous. Have a fabulous day fitties!
