I am a mess over here. I went to bed with an uneasy feeling that I wasn’t going to have a good day today and what do you know, I’m not. Well, actually it’s getting better but it started rough.
Let me back up.
First off, I am really bad at re-ordering my contacts when I get to the final pair, therefore, my eyes are infected from the old ones and the other night my glasses broke. Double fail.
I can’t go without, so, this is what I’m working with:
Yep, I’m cool like that.
I also woke up at 8:05am today. I have to be to work at 8:30. No good. Luckily, the day is getting better. I ordered two pairs of glasses and have an eye appointment tonight to get contacts.
Due to the chaos that is my eyes – I skipped Turbo yesterday. They were blood shot and itchy and I didn’t want to make them worse. So, today I am going to do Fire 60, HIIT 20 and Abs 10 and I think Ashley and Britnye are going to join me, so that’s exciting!
As far as the meal plan goes, like I said, I am incorporating a few of the suggested foods but also doing my own thing. Some recent eats:
As promised, I am going to recap everything I bought at Trader Joes and Whole Foods along with what I spent. It is possible to eat healthy on a budget. Trader Joes has awesome prices. People have a misconception about the price of healthy food but listen – it CAN be done! I do not buy everything organic, nor do I always shop at Trader Joes to get some of these awesome deals, but I do have a budget and think I did a great job in regards to spending last weekend at these stores.
Here’s what I brought home:
Spicy tortilla chips with flax, whole grain tortillas, and mini whole wheat bagels
Bottle of Chardonnay, 2 cans of black beans, 2 cans of refried beans, spicy black bean dip, salt grinder, pepper grinder, this amazing ‘sugar, chocolate, coffee bean’ grinder, 2 red pepper chili flakes, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, and pine nuts < costly.
Even so, with those items, all the above cost…drum roll…$95
Now, that is awesome! That includes wine, fancy grinders, gelato, a huge bag of whole grain flour flax, etc. I didn’t even have coupons – so think of the savings if you were to find coupons!
Have you tried any of these products?
